Elina Knihtilä
Mari Elina Knihtilä (born June 6, 1971 in Valkeala ) is a Finnish actress and voice actress .
Life
Mari Elina Knihtilä finished her acting studies at the Helsinki Theater Academy in 1996 . She then played at the theater for several years. She made her screen debut in 1996 in the lead role of henna in the comedy Viisasten kivi, staged by Sakari Kirjavainen , alongside Heikki Kujanpää and her future partner, the actor Tommi Korpela . They have had a son since 1997.
Knihtilä has been nominated four times for the national Finnish film award Jussi . She received three nominations for her portrayals in Matti , Haarautuvan rakkauden talo and Hyvä poika , for which she received the award in 2012. She received a second award for Best Supporting Actress in 2009 for her portrayal of Aila Meriluoto in the drama Putoavia enkeleitä, directed by Heikki Kujanpää .
Knihtilä became known as a voice actress because she is the Finnish voice of Terk in the Disney productions Tarzan , Tarzan & Jane , Tarzan 2 and the accompanying television series The Legend of Tarzan .
