Elisabeth Kuhlmann
Elisabeth Kuhlmann (born June 14, 1907 in Bremen ; † unknown) was a German actress .
Life
Elisabeth Kuhlmann took private acting lessons from Nelly Hönigswald and then worked for two years as an apprentice at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg . This was followed by engagements in Hamburg, Kiel , at the Bremen Art Theater and the Theater of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen as well as at the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt am Main. There she played numerous character roles such as "Marietta" in Georg Kaiser's Alain and Elise , "Ulita" in Ostrowski's Der Wald , "Elisa" in Victorien Sardou's Madame Sans-Gene , "Simons Weib" in Georg Büchner's play Dantons Tod , die “Higa Jiga” in John Patrick's Little Tea House , “Frau Miller” in Schiller's Cabal and Love , the mother-in-law in Bertolt Brecht's Caucasian Chalk Circle , “Miss Prism” in Oscar Wilde's Bunbury and “Frau Überreif” in Shakespeare's Two Kinds of Measure .
In addition, Elisabeth Kuhlmann appeared regularly in film and television productions until the 1970s. So she played under the direction of Fritz Umgelters in Very Big in Little Things , under the direction of Wolfgang Liebeneiner in Fraud of the Times , under the direction of Karl Fruchtmanns in Fun Makers as well as the wife Willy Reichert in the crime scene in Stuttgart flowers .
