Elisabeth Niejahr
Elisabeth Niejahr (born April 6, 1965 in Eutin ) is a German journalist and book author .
Life
Niejahr grew up as a child of a pastor's family. She studied economics in Cologne , London and Washington and attended the Cologne School of Journalism at the same time .
From 1993 she worked for six years as a correspondent in the Bonn parliamentary office of the Spiegel . The end of 1999, she moved to time to Berlin, where she was among other deputy head of the Berlin office. There she wrote on various economic and political topics. In autumn 2011 she spent four months as a Bucerius Fellow at Harvard University . Niejahr is the author of several books and a frequent guest on talk shows. From 2013 to the end of 2019 she was a permanent participant in the political talk show Thadeusz and the observer on rbb television . From September 2017 to December 2019, Niejahr was chief reporter in the Berlin office of Wirtschaftswoche . She has been a member of the management of the Hertie Foundation since 2020 .
Elisabeth Niejahr has a daughter.
