Schicho took part in junior races until 2011. From 2011, she mainly competed in the cross-country Alpine Cup . She achieved her first podium finish in January 2012 in Zwiesel with second place in the skiathlon . At the German cross-country skiing championships in Oberwiesenthal in 2012 , she won bronze in the sprint in the 10 km skiathlon. In the 2012/13 season she finished eight times in the top ten in the Alpencup. She achieved three third places and at the end of the season the sixth place in the overall ranking. She ran her first World Cup race in January 2013 in Liberec , which she finished with 28th place in the sprint and thus got her first World Cup points. In February 2013 she became German champion in sprint and 5 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , she won gold in the sprint and bronze over 10 km classic. In March 2014, she won her first Alpine Cup victory in the sprint in Rogla . At the German cross-country skiing championships in 2014 , she won bronze over 5 km classic and silver in the sprint. In the 2014/15 season she finished in the top ten ten times in the Alpine Cup, including third place in the 15 km mass start race in Rogla, and came third in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup. The following season she achieved five top ten placements in the Alpine Cup. She won the classic 10 km in Dobbiaco in March 2016 and came second in the 2.5 km freestyle. In the 2016/17 season she achieved her first top ten placement in the World Cup in Pyeongchang with eighth place in the skiathlon and at the end of the season she finished 55th in the overall World Cup. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, she finished 28th in the sprint. After the 2018/19 season, she ended her career.
