Elisabeth Wendt (born January 11, 1906 in Cologne , † March 24, 1980 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

Elisabeth Wendt was one of the well-known actresses in the 1930s and was involved in many feature films during this time . In the post-war years , however, she was no longer able to build on her earlier film career.

Among the productions that feature films were 1,931 M by Fritz Lang with Peter Lorre , Gustaf and Theo Lingen and camaraderie in the direction of Georg Wilhelm Pabst with Alexander Cranach , Fritz Kamper and Ernst Busch . In 1938 she starred as Jenny in the crime film Mordsache Holm by Erich Engels with Walter Steinbeck , Harald Paulsen and Hans Leibelt in a leading role . Harry Piel, Ruth Eweler and Edith Oss played next to her . Elisabeth Wendt's last appearance in a movie was in 1953 in Ave Maria by Alfred Braun with Zarah Leander , Hans Stüwe and Marianne Hold .
