Elisheba

Elisheba (/ əˈlɪʃɪbə /; אֱלִישֶׁבַע 'Ělîšeḇa' ), according to the Bible, was the wife of Aaron , the older brother of Moses and ancestor of the high priest .

She was the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nachshon from the tribe of Judah .

The Hebrew name has two parts. El means God and Sheba means abundance. So the name God is abundance means.

According to the Bible, Aaron and Elisheba had four sons: Nadab , Abihu , Eleazar and Itamar . The Levitical priests, even Kohanim called, originate, according to tradition, all of her two younger sons Eleazar and Itamar in direct paternal line from.

In the New Testament in the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke , a woman named Elizabeth (Greek: Ἐλισάβετ) is mentioned, who was her descendant, was named after her and was the wife of the priest Zacharias . She was the mother of John the Baptist and a relative of Mary, the mother of Jesus .
