Eliza Nathanael

Eliza Nathanael (born May 27, 1973 in Surabaya (according to other sources in Bogor ), often just titled Eliza ) is a former Indonesian badminton player . She became world champion with the Indonesian women's team in 1994 and 1996.

Career

Eliza Nathanael was a specialist in doubles and mixed games. She won titles at the China Open 1992 , Hong Kong Open 1992 , Thailand Open 1992 and the French Open 1993 with Aryono Miranat . At the Badminton World Cup in Birmingham in 1993 , both won bronze. Nathanael also won mixed at the 1997 Southeast Asian Games with Candra Wijaya .

In women's doubles, Nathanael won the US Open 1996, the Indonesia Open 1996 and 1997 and the 1997 Southeast Asian Games with Resiana Zelin . She was twice in the final of the All England with her . At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta , they made it to the quarter-finals. They won bronze at the 1997 Badminton World Cup in Glasgow . Nathanael won the 1996 Asian Games in women's doubles with Finarsih and the 1998 Indonesia Open with Deyana Lomban .
