Elizabeth McBride
Elizabeth McBride (born May 17, 1955 in Shreveport , † June 16, 1997 in Santa Fe ) was an American costume designer . McBride was nominated for an Oscar in 1990 for the equipment of the film Miss Daisy and Her Chauffeur .
Life
McBride received her first film engagement in 1983 from Bruce Beresford , for his film Comeback of Love . Seven years later she took over the equipment of the tragic comedy Miss Daisy and her chauffeur , for which she was nominated in 1990 for the Academy Award in the category “ Best Costume Design ”. McBride died of cancer in 1997 in Santa Fe at the age of 42.
