Elizabeth Mongudhi (also Elizabeth Mungudhi ; born June 15, 1970 in South West Africa ) is a former Namibian long-distance runner .

Career

In 1998 Mongudhi set a national record at the Rotterdam Marathon with 2:36:44 hours and came third in the Commonwealth Games marathon in Kuala Lumpur . In 2004 and 2005 she won the Marathon de la Liberté in Caen .

She competed twice in Olympic marathons. In 1996 in Atlanta she came in 59th place, in 2000 in Sydney she did not finish. She also started twice at World Athletics Championships over the 42.195 km distance: in 1999 in Seville she finished 27th, in 2001 in Edmonton she came in 36th place.

In 1994 she competed in the Commonwealth Games over the 3000 meters for England . Four years later she won the bronze medal for Namibia at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur .
