Elke Scheuermann (born December 25, 1963 in Sindelfingen ) is a German interior designer , set and costume designer . She lives in Zurich .

Education and career

She received her training at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. She completed her studies in 1989 with a degree in engineering . She then worked for various international architecture and design offices , including a. for the Atelier Philippe Starck (Paris), Studio Matteo Thun (Milan) and Peter Thomann (Zurich). This was followed by stage design and costume assistants at various major theaters, including a. with Raimund Bauer, Rolf Glittenberg , Hartmut Meyer at the Schauspielhaus Zurich , with Jörg Jara, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève , as well as the costume assistant for Frida Parmeggiani at the Ring des Nibelungen (directed by Robert Wilson ) at the Zurich Opera House .

Elke Scheuermann teamed up with Bettina Disler and Sara Valentina Giancane to form the rakete3 directing team for opera, theater and film. The three realized two multimedia opera projects in Zurich, Sancta Susanna (with Paul Hindemith's expressionist one-act play ) and Schlaf, Kindlein, Schlaf by Bernd Schurer, a fantasy about Bluebeard , as well as the children's opera Das Traumfresserchen by Michael Ende at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin .
