Ellen Lorentz (* 1954 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German scientist, author and management consultant.

Life

Ellen Lorentz grew up in Frankfurt am Main and now lives in Leverkusen . After graduating from the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule , she studied social sciences and economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1975 to 1982 . At Iring Fetscher she did her doctorate in 1986 on employed women in the Imperial Era and Weimar Republic. Aspects of current office rationalization, e.g. B. Key qualifications, work organization, working hours and training have historically been examined for female gainful employment in the office. Your publications deal with the emergence of the German salaried employee union to secure the professional livelihood of employed women around 100 years ago and are said to have influenced the dual training system.

As a scientist, Ellen Lorentz worked in vocational training research at the Research Institute of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Bonn to develop action-oriented company training courses and training regulations. She worked in operational model projects and created educational guides for the training courses for office clerks , postal traffic clerks and automobile clerks , and founded a consulting company in 1992. Ellen Lorentz was also involved in various professional reorganization procedures at the Federal Institute for Vocational Training (specialist for mail and freight traffic at the German Federal Post Office , automobile salesman ). In 2006 she founded the Womans Business Club cologne e. V., a network for women in the liberal professions in the Rhineland.
