Elli Reed (born August 10, 1989 in Salt Lake City , Utah ) is a former American football player .
Career
society
Reed was before the 2011 season at position eight of the franchise of the Western New York Flash drafted , but before start of the season to the Boston Breakers transferred. For the Breakers, Reed played in a total of 21 league games in the WPS and the WPSL Elite in two seasons . In the summer of 2012 she moved to Germany for the Bundesliga club FCR 2001 Duisburg , where she made eleven appearances before returning to her home country after one season. There Reed was signed as a so-called free agent by Seattle Reign FC in early 2013 and made her league debut on April 21, 2013 against Portland Thorns FC . After the end of the season in the USA, she briefly moved on loan to the Swedish first division club Kristianstads DFF and then extended her contract in Seattle by one year plus an option. With the Reign, Reed reached the play-off final against FC Kansas City in the 2014 season . In the winter of 2014/15, she switched to Melbourne Victory on loan . After the 2017 season, Reed ended her career.
National team
Reed ran between 2006 and 2012 for the US youth teams in the age groups U-17 to U-23 and won the 2008 World Cup in Chile with the U-20 .
