The Ellipsoid Hill is a 1130 m high, rounded and partly icy mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises north of Blue Glacier between Geoid Glacier and Spheroid Hill .
The mound is one of a series of geographic features named by the New Zealand Geographic Board in 1993 using terms from geodesy and mathematics . It is named after the shape of the ellipsoid .
