The Ellmaubach is a brook in the market town of Großarl in the state of Salzburg , where it flows into the Großarler Ache .

The catchment area of ​​the brook is 29.50 km² and it has a length of 7.92 km. The privately built and operated small hydropower plant Großarl , which was completed in the early 1980s, is located on Ellmaubach .

It rises in the Ellmautal, a side valley of the Grossarltal. The brook is fed by several tributaries, such as the Filzmoos Bach , which flow together at the head of the valley and finally form the Ellmaubach there.
