Elmar Peter Schwenke
Elmar Peter Schwenke (born September 19, 1958 in Leipzig ; pseudonym : Peter Lemar and Erik Sanders ) is a German pedagogue , pop musician and author .
Life
After attending the Polytechnic and Extended High School in Leipzig, Schwenke did his 18-month military service with the NVA and studied music education from 1979 to 1983 at the Art and Cultural Studies section of the University of Leipzig . During his time as a teacher of German and music, he played keyboards for the Logo group, with whom he landed a No. 1 hit on the Radio DDR-Tipparade in 1986. In 1987 he switched to the Halle band Zebra , which was known in the GDR for adapting Brecht / Weill songs (including from the Threepenny Opera ). After 1990 and the collapse of the East German cultural landscape, he worked in other professions, including a. as a furniture carrier, taxi driver and painter. From 1993 to 1998 he was a radio producer ( Radio Leipzig , Radio PSR ). In 2003, his volume of short stories, The Abstract Woman, was presented at the Leipzig Book Fair (Leipzig reads), a mixture of science fiction, fantasy and psycho- story that is very reminiscent of Edgar Allan Poe and Franz Kafka . Elmar Schwenke is co-founder of the MUSIFA Music School, the first music academy with a certified music education in Central Germany, and has been a member of the Bee Gees co-association Jive Talkin '- Portrait Of The Bee Gees since 2004 . In 2014 his debut single Ein Teil von mir reached number 122 in the German pop charts. Elmar Schwenke is a member of the Association of German Writers and lives as a freelance author in Leipzig. He runs a blog on current topics on his website.
