Radio Leipzig is a private radio broadcaster from Leipzig . It started broadcasting on May 16, 1993. From 1999 to July 22, 2007, the Leipzig station called itself 91 Punkt 3.

Radio Leipzig's main program comes from Broadcast Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG, which also stocks Hitradio RTL . The local news and the afternoon program with Roman Knoblauch are produced directly in Leipzig. The repertoire of the station with the current claim “The best music!” Mainly includes music from the 1980s to today.

General information

Radio Leipzig is a member of the broadcasting network in the Sachsen Funkpaket . The transmitters, which have been specially set up for the major cities and metropolitan areas of Saxony, each broadcast a full 24-hour program, including Radio Leipzig. The broadcaster addresses a target audience aged 30 to 49 years. He mainly plays the adult contemporary music format. In addition, there are hourly messages which are always sent 10 minutes before the hour and for this reason are advertised with the claim "Always informed 10 minutes earlier to the point". In addition, traffic reports are sent every half hour as well as current information and event notices for the region.

history

On May 16, 1993, the then District President Walter Steinbach pressed the start button. The first broadcast on 91.3 Radio Leipzig went on air. Tino Utassy has been Managing Director of Radio Leipzig since January 1998. He succeeded Brunhilde Laumann, who headed the station since it started broadcasting.

Broadcast house

The program has been produced by Radio Leipzig since February 2001 in the Medienhaus am Listplatz. Since the start of broadcasting, Radio Leipzig had its broadcasting center on Salomonstrasse, before the station moved directly to Leipzig city center in February 2001.

In October 2008, Radio Leipzig received a new broadcasting studio. In July 2012, Radio Leipzig moved within the media house. The broadcast studio was dismantled and found a new place in the radio house in Annaberg-Buchholz by Radio Erzgebirge . In August 2012, a new broadcast studio was built in the newly occupied rooms. Michael Flämig is the studio manager.
