Radio Zwickau is a private radio broadcaster from Zwickau . It started broadcasting on December 10, 1994. From 1999 to July 22, 2007, the station was called Zwickau 96 Punkt 2.

The broadcast program for Radio Zwickau comes from Broadcast Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG, which also stocks Hitradio RTL . The local news and the afternoon program with Raik Bartnik are produced directly in Zwickau. The repertoire of the station with the claim “The best music!” Mainly includes music from the 1980s until today.

General information

Radio Zwickau is a member of the broadcasting network in the Sachsen Funkpaket . The stations, which have been specially set up for the major cities and metropolitan areas of Saxony, each broadcast a full 24-hour program, including Radio Zwickau. The broadcaster addresses a target audience aged 30 to 49 years. He mainly plays the adult contemporary music format. history

On December 10, 1994, the then mayor Rainer Eichhorn pressed the start button. Mirko Jacob presented the first broadcast on 96.2 Radio Zwickau .

Tino Utassy has been Managing Director of Radio Zwickau since the start of the broadcast.

Broadcast house

The program has been produced by Radio Zwickau since December 2010 in the Funkhaus am Kornmarkt. Since it started broadcasting, Radio Zwickau had its broadcasting house on Leipziger Strasse, before the station moved directly to Zwickau city center in December 2010.

In December 2010, Radio Zwickau received a new broadcast studio. Jürgen Engelbrecht is the studio manager.
