The Elmers Nunatak is a striking and 1630 m high nunatak in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises 8 km southeast of Mount Hawkes .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Elmer H. Smith, aerographer of the winter crews at Ellsworth Station in 1958 and on McMurdo Station in 1961.
