Els Vader (1982)

Els Vader (actually Elisabeth Cornelia Vader , married Scharn ; born September 24, 1959 in Vlissingen ) is a former Dutch sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, she was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run and reached the semi-finals over 200 m .

Over 200 m she was fourth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1982 in Milan and 1983 in Budapest . At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 , she came over 100 m into the quarter-finals, as well as at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where she advanced over 200 m to the semi-finals.

At the European Indoor Championships in 1985 in Piraeus she won bronze over 200 m and was fifth over 60 m , and at the European Athletics Championships in 1986 in Stuttgart, she came seventh with the Dutch team in the 4 x 100 meter relay Space.

In 1987 she was over 60 m fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Liévin and sixth at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Indianapolis . At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, she was eliminated over 100 m in the quarter-finals and in the 4-by-100-meter relay in the semifinals.

Five times she was Dutch champion over 100 m (1979-1982, 1984) and seven times over 200 m (1979-1982, 1984, 1986, 1988). In the hall, she won the national title over 60 m six times (1979–1982, 1984, 1985) and five times over 200 m (1982, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988).
