Elvers Peak is a 1615 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises at the southeast end of the Edson Hills in the Heritage Range of the Ellsworth Mountains about 200 m from the ice masses surrounding it.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after the American seismologist Douglas J. Elvers, who worked from 1965 to 1966 the second crossing of Queen Maud Land as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program .
