Volavšek, who starts for SSK Ilirija , made her international debut on January 7th 2017 in Harrachov as part of the Youth Cup , where she finished eighth. In the following years she regularly competed in the Youth Cup and the Alpine Cup . After she had already achieved several podium places in both competition series, she won a competition for the first time on August 25, 2018 with the victory of the Youth Cup sprint in Oberstdorf . A few months later she also won a Gundersen competition in Schonach in the Alpine Cup .
On January 5, 2019, Volavšek made her debut in the Continental Cup , the highest competition series for women this season. After finishing sixth in Otepää , she finished eleventh in her second competition a day later. A few weeks later, she took part in the first official junior competition at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2019 in Lahti and came in seventh.
