Emanuel Mariano Insúa Zapata (born April 10, 1991 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football player who acts on the position of the left full-back.

Career

Emanuel Insúa started his career in 2004 with the youth teams of Boca Juniors . He made his first professional appearance on April 25, 2012 in a cup away game at Olimpo de Bahía Blanca , which ended 1-1. His first use in the championship followed on May 20. In July 2012 he was loaned to the Argentinian club CD Godoy Cruz for one season. There he came to 33 league games and scored his first goal as a professional.

In 2015, Insúa moved abroad for the first time to FC Granada in Spain, where he signed a contract for four and a half years. In 2015, Insúa moved to Italy for the first division club Udinese Calcio , but did not make any further competitive appearances there apart from one game in the Italian Cup .

After being awarded by Udinese to Newell's Old Boys and Racing Club for 2016 and 2017, respectively , he moved to Panathinaikos Athens in Greece in 2017 , where he signed a three-year contract.

Private

Emanuel Insúa's brother Emiliano is also a professional soccer player and left full-back , who is under contract with VfB Stuttgart for the 2018/19 season .
