Emanuel von Graffenried (Schultheiss)
Emanuel von Graffenried (baptized December 8, 1636 in Bern ; † April 4, 1715 ) was mayor of Bern .
Emanuel von Graffenried was born as the son of the mayor Anton von Graffenried II and Ursula du Moulin. He spent his youth at the court of Elector Karl Ludwig von der Pfalz in Heidelberg . In 1656 he married Maria Magdalena von Werdt. In 1664 he became a member of the Bernese Grand Council , 1669 Landvogt to Lenzburg, 1680 member of the Small Council, 1685 Salt Director and 1693 Venner zu Pfistern. In 1700 he was finally elected mayor. Emanuel von Graffenried was Lord of Bellerive and Vallamand . He died in 1715.
