Emelie Almesjö (born June 4, 1990 ) is a Swedish soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with Mallbackens IF since 2017 .

Career

Almesjö was in the 2008 season in the squad of the Swedish first division club Bälinge IF , for which she did not come to competitive appearances. She later played for the Swedish second division club IK Sirius , where she completed a total of 47 missions in Division 1 and the 2013 newly founded Elitettan in 2012 and 2013 . In 2014 Almesjö moved to first division promoted Eskilstuna United and made his debut there on April 14 in the home game against KIF Örebro in Damallsvenskan . After two years in Eskilstuna, she joined the second division side Östersunds DFF in early 2016 , for which she played 26 league games. A year later Almesjö moved on to Mallbackens IF .

National team

Almesjö was in the squad of the Swedish U-23 national team in 2012 and 2013, with which she took part in the four-nation tournament in La Manga in March 2013 .
