Emelie "Empa" Anna Berggren (born September 15, 1982 in St. Johann in Tirol , Austria ) is a former Swedish national ice hockey player and current trainer .

Career

Berggren has been a key figure in the defense of AIK Solna for many years . In 2010 she moved to the south of Stockholm , to the Segeltorps IF , before returning to the AIK in 2012, where she played in the Riksserien until 2014 . In the course of her career she won five national championship titles , including 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2013 with the AIK and 2011 with Segeltorps IF.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , she won the bronze medal with the Swedish national team . She made a total of 103 international matches for Sweden. She also ran for Sweden at the 2008 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship .

After the 2013/14 season, she ended her career and became the head coach of the women's team at the AIK.
