Emil Charlet

Emil Charlet (also: Emile Charlet , born February 26, 1878 in Berlin as Emil Otto Wilhelm Charlet ; † October 9, 1962 ibid) was a German journalist , publisher's editor and literary translator .

Life

Emil Charlet was in World War I for German counterintelligence worked. He later worked as a journalist , from 1934 as a proofreader for foreign-language texts in the Munich NSDAP printing company Müller and from 1936 to 1939 as an editor for the Holle-Verlag . In addition, he had been working as a translator since the beginning of the 20th century . Charlet has translated fiction from Danish , English , French , Dutch , Norwegian and Swedish into German .
