Emil Ernst

Emil Hermann Ernst (born June 6, 1889 in Newark (New Jersey) , † May 26, 1942 in Münster ) was a German astronomer . He discovered the asteroid (705) Erminia .
It was in 1918 at the State Observatory Heidelberg-Königstuhl Heidelberg University with the paper "On the fitness of the Wellmann's double image micrometer to micrometric measurements" doctorate . At that time, the observatory in Heidelberg was a center for the discovery of asteroids under its director Max Wolf . During his time there, Ernst discovered an asteroid.
In 1929 he accepted a position at the University of Münster .
