(705) Erminia is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 6, 1910 by the German astronomer Emil Ernst in Heidelberg .
The asteroid was named after the opera Erminie by Edward Jakobowski from 1885, which is based on Charles Selby's melodrama Robert Macaire from 1834.
