Emil Fronz
Emil Fronz (born September 17, 1860 in Vienna ; † December 30, 1930 ibid) was an Austrian pediatrician .
Emil Fronz, son of a kk Austrian court doctor, first studied at the art academy, but then turned to medicine and received his doctorate in 1887. med. He worked as an assistant at the university clinic and at the St. Anna Children's Hospital . In 1898 he became a private lecturer, then in 1902 an associate professor. He studied serum treatment for diphtheria with Emil von Behring and Otto Heubner in Berlin and campaigned for its introduction in Austria. Until 1918 he was the pediatric advisor to the court.
He was the brother of the writer Oskar Fronz senior and the composer Richard Fronz . His nephew was the theater director Oskar Fronz junior , his stepson the soccer player and journalist Max Leuthe .
