Emil Scheel (born January 30, 1886 in Puttgarden on Fehmarn , † August 30, 1968 in Alt-Mühlendorf near Nortorf ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Scheel passed the Abitur in 1905 at the grammar school in Eutin . To study law, he moved to the universities of Tübingen , Berlin and Kiel . In Tübingen he became a member of the student union Landsmannschaft Scotland . In 1914 he passed the second legal exam in Berlin. As a war volunteer , he took part in the First World War from September 1914 to April 1916 . In November 1916, Scheel was appointed court assessor in Schleswig . From 1922 he was when later successor of Theodor Storm , first as a magistrate and later as a senior judge at the district court Husum operates. From June to December 1945 Emil Scheel was mayor of the city of Husum . In 1951 he was retired and moved into his retirement home in Alt-Mühlendorf.
