Emil Sjogren
Emil Sjögren (born June 16, 1853 in Stockholm , † March 1, 1918 in Knivsta , Sweden ), was a Swedish composer and pianist .
Sjögren studied from 1869 to 1874 at the Conservatory in Stockholm and from 1879 to 1890 with Friedrich Kiel at the Royal Academic College for Performing Music . He later worked as a music teacher and organist in Stockholm. He is best known for his songs , his five sonatas for violin and piano and his numerous piano compositions.
In 2003 an Emil Sjögren Society was founded in Sweden.

A recording by Sjögren of November 20, 1905 on piano roll for Welte-Mignon , the Andante from his Sonata Op. 44, 2 in A major.
