Emily Bold (born March 2, 1980 in Middle Franconia ) is a German writer who writes romance novels for young people and adults, fantasy novels as well as historical novels .

Career

Emily Bold's first historical romance novel, entitled Dangerous Intrigues , was published as an e-book on the Kindle Direct Publishing platform in April 2011 and was among the top 20 bestsellers of the year in the novel category on Amazon. The author was thus one of the first self-publishers to accept the offer to launch Amazon's KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) program in 2011 and to offer her novels there for download.

The former self-publisher became a publishing author. In the meantime she has worked with publishers such as Ullstein , Thienemann-Esslinger and Montlake Romance , who publish her novels. Bold doesn't commit to any particular genre and writes books for teenagers and adults. Some of her works have been translated into English, including her three-part young adult series The Curse . Bold's publications have also been translated and published into Hungarian, Turkish, Russian and Czech.

Most of her novels have also been read in as audio books (by Svantje Wascher , Eva Gosciejewicz and Vanida Karun, among others ) and published.

Bold is a trained chemical laboratory technician. She lives with her family in Franconia and has been a full-time writer for years.

Collaboration with other authors

Emily Bold wrote together with the authors Johanna Danninger , Frieda Lamberti , Greta Milán and the author Friedrich Kalpenstein on the 5-part book series Hearts on Fire . A story about a Munich fire station. The titles will be published through 2019 by Montlake Romance , an imprint of Amazon Publishing . The titles in the order of their publication are Jonah written by Johanna Danninger, Erik by Frieda Lamberti, Vincent by Greta Milán, Marie by Friedrich Kalpenstein and Leo by Emily Bold.
