Cornelia Dörr (* 1977 in Mainz ) is a German actress .

Life

Cornelia Dörr studied from 1998 to 2001 at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum . In 2002 she completed the film acting course at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , as well as the "Sat.1 Actors Class". Your lecturers were u. a. Tom Toelle , Dominic Raacke and MK Lewis . After engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and the Wuppertaler Bühnen , Cornelia Dörr played numerous leading roles at the Theater Aachen from 2002 to 2007 . Cornelia Dörr has been working as a freelance actress and voice actress since 2007 . She played as a guest on Koblenz Theater at Kampnagel in Hamburg , and at the Bremen Theater , at Theater Lübeck and at the State Theater in Mainz . Cornelia Dörr can be seen regularly in high-quality television productions, has been engaged several times for the Cologne Tatort and has appeared in front of the camera several times for ambitious film projects by Willy Hans and feature films by Ingo Haeb . She has worked repeatedly for theater productions under the direction of Michael Helle, Lydia Bunk , Gintersdorfer / Klaßen , Gero Vierhuff and Gernot Grünewald. Cornelia Dörr lives in Hamburg.

Cornelia Dörr has received a number of awards, the most important of which are the Kurt Sieder Prize in 2006 (for the portrayal of Johanna in the Jungfrau von Orléans ) and a nomination as best actress in the same play (by NRW critics).

In 2009 the two-person play "Othello - c'est qui" (with Cornelia Dörr and Franck Edmond Yao) won the Impulse Prize for the "best production by German-speaking independent theaters 2009" at the Impulse Theater Festival and was awarded the 2010 International Theater Festival Rotterdam, the Berlin Theatertreffen and the Wiener Festwochen . Further guest appearances in Germany, Switzerland , Ireland , Italy , Canada and Australia followed .

On March 30, 2011, the three-person play Dreileben - A play about dying (a play by Cornelia Dörr, Marie Seiser and José Barros, directed by Gernot Grünewald) won the 2011 " Körber Studio Junge Regie " award .

On October 17, 2011, the production of Burns (by Wajdi Mouawad , directed by Lydia Bunk ) from Euro-Studio Landgraf , in which Cornelia Dörr played the role of Sawda on a tour of Germany in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2014 won the Inthega Prize “Neuberin 2011”.

At the 60th International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen , Das satanische Dickicht: Eins (director: Willy Hans) received a “Honorable Mention”.
