Svantje Wascher (* 1972 in Georgsmarienhütte in the district of Osnabrück, Lower Saxony ) is a German actress , dubbing actress , audio book and radio play speaker , advertising spokesperson and presenter .

biography

Svantje Wascher lived in Osnabrück until 1986 and then moved to Lich ( Hessen ) not far from Gießen . From the age of 16, she worked there alongside school in the arthouse cinema Kino Traumstern in Lich as a ticket taker. After completing her baccalaureate in 1992 to the comprehensive school casting Ost she moved back to Osnabrück. From 1992 to 1993 she worked at Hasetor Kino Universum as a cinema ticket seller. During the same period, Svantje Wascher was able to prove her passion for acting several times in the youth club Stadttheater Osnabrück in the first performances in the emma theater in Osnabrück's Weststadt.

Even years after starting her acting and dubbing work, she did not lose touch with arthouse cinemas . In 2002 she became a projectionist at the Filmbühne am Steinplatz in Berlin and then worked from 2003 to 2009 as a projectionist in the Blow Up cinema, also in Berlin. In 2009 she participated in the CICAE Action and Management Seminar, San Servolo in Venice .

In 1993 she started her acting studies at the Krauss drama school in Vienna , which she graduated with her diploma in 1996 . Before her acting training in 1993, she was assistant director to Oliver Stern for the play Kindsmord by Peter Turrini at the Salzburg State Theater . In 1997 the company moved to Berlin. From 2000 to 2001 she completed postgraduate studies at the German Acting Academy (DSA) in Munich , where she also lived for a year. In numerous cinema and television productions she can be seen as an actress in leading and supporting roles, for example in guest roles in the series SOKO Leipzig and the Tatort of Hessischer Rundfunk .

In 2002 Svantje Wascher began her career as a dubbing actress . Her first major synchronizing role was in 2005 in the anime series adaptations of Magister Negi Magi . She can also be heard in TV and radio commercials for bonprix , Ratiopharm , Renault , Ryanair and Volkswagen , for example .

Audio books and radio plays

In 2011 Svantje Wascher started reading audio books and speaking roles in radio plays . In the meantime she has spoken and read over 70 audio books and radio play roles, including for publishers and studios such as Hörbuch Hamburg Verlag , Plan 1, Das Hörspielstudio X-Berg , Audible Studios , Studio Stil Berlin, Argon Verlag and Random House Audio .

Working as a juror

Through her work in various small and large art house cinemas and in response to her applications, Svantje Wascher has been a juror at several film festivals. She was a jury member for the AG Kino 2004 at the International Filmfest Mannheim-Heidelberg , jury member for the AG Kino CICAE Paris 2005, 2007 and 2009 at the Festival de Cannes , Section Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, Directors Fourtnight, and a jury member for the AG Kino CICAE Paris 2010 at the Locarno Film Festival in the Competition section. He was also a member of the jury for Europa Cinemas in Cannes in 2008.

Radio moderation

2001 to 2002 she worked for the radio magazine at M94.5 in Munich as a presenter together with the actor Armin Zarbock von Rampensau - die Schauspielschau . This was broadcast live every first Sunday of the month for a year. Her guests included Yasemin Şamdereli , Caroline Link , Sebastian Niemann , Marcus H.
