Alice Jane Evans (born August 2, 1971 in Bristol , England ) is a British - French actress .

Career

Evans studied French and Italian at University College London . After graduating there, she moved to Paris and attended the Cours Florent .

She began her acting work in French and Italian television series and films. Her first film, which she made in her native English , was 102 Dalmatians in 2000 , where she starred alongside Glenn Close and Gérard Depardieu .

Personal

Her first relationship was with Olivier Widmaier Picasso, the grandson of Pablo Picasso . She lived with him in Paris for eight years .

In 2000, she met the Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd on the set of 102 Dalmatians . The two married in Mexico in 2007 . In 2009 the two parents had a daughter. Their second daughter was born in September 2013. The couple now live in Los Angeles .
