Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (born March 2, 1980 in Utøy , Inderøy , Norway ) is a Norwegian actress who was best known in Germany for her roles in films such as Hansel and Gretel: Witches Hunters and Chernobyl Diaries .

Life

Berdal was born in 1980 in the small Norwegian village of Utøy near Trondheim . Already at school she was enthusiastic about music and singing, which is why she completed a music and singing training at the University of Trondheim (NTNU). After graduating, Berdal moved to Oslo , where she studied acting for three years at the Oslo Art School .

After completing another degree at Østfold University , she was hired at Det Norske Teatret in Oslo. After her first year there, she received the Heddaprisen (Hedda Prize) (the Norwegian Theater Prize) for the best debut of the year. During her time at the Østfold University of Applied Sciences, she took part in both classical and contemporary plays .

In the meantime, Berdal also worked for television, radio, theater and film. She won the Amanda (Norwegian Film Awards) for best actress for her role as Jannicke in Cold Prey .

In 2010 , Berdal hosted the Amanda Prize live on the Norwegian television channel NRK2 .
