Cinema dream star
Traumstern is the name of cinemas in the central Hessian town of Lich . It was opened in 1983 and is now an integral part of the region's cultural life.
In addition to the pure film showings , directors and actors are also invited, the Traumstern also offers stage art and live events such as concerts , readings, theater , open-air cinema and children's cinema and works together with schools. The Traumstern is a member of the Europa Cinema Network / MEDIA Plus (supported by the EU Commission).
Since 1985 , the cinema has repeatedly received awards from the Federal Minister of the Interior for its annual program and has received the Hessian Cinema Prize several times in recent years from the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art .
Operators since the year 1989 are Edgar A. Langer and Hans Gsänger . Edgar A. Langer is regional spokesman for Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate at the cinema working group , and since 1990 examiner of the voluntary self-regulation of the film industry in Wiesbaden . Both work as jury members at film festivals and film festivals . In 2003, the two were awarded the Federal Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for their personal commitment to culture .
In 2004 the cinema dream star has been with the cinema prize awarded the silver of 2004. In addition to the Hessian Cinema Prize 2004, Traumstern received the Cinema Prize of the District of Gießen 2004 for cinema culture in the country.

- Federal cinema award 2005 for the good documentary film program 2004
- Federal cinema award 2005 for the good short film program 2004
In 2007 the Traumstern cinema received the top prize for the best short film program in Germany in 2006 and cinema program awards for the outstanding overall program, the good documentary film program and the good children's and youth program.
