Louise "Loo" Brealey (born March 27, 1979 in Bozeat , Northamptonshire , England ) is a British actress , screenwriter and film producer . She gained prominence through the role of Molly Hooper in the British television series Sherlock .

life and career

Brealey studied history at the University of Cambridge and learned acting for a year at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York .

From 2002 to 2004, Brealey played the role of Roxanne Bird in the British television series Casualty . In 2005 she played the role of Judy in the British miniseries Bleak House - alongside Gillian Anderson and Carey Mulligan . In the same year she played the role of Suzy in the British television film The English Harem .
