Amanda Warren (born July 17, 1982 in Coquille , Oregon ) is an American actress .

life and career

Amanda Warren comes from Coquille, Oregon, and grew up in New York City , where she still lives today. From a young age she was on the theater stage. After finishing school, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University , from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts . She received her Masters from Yale University .

Warren took on her first role in front of the camera in 2006 in an episode of The Office series . Appearances in Criminal Intent , Good Wife , Rubicon , Gossip Girl , Detroit 1-8-7 , The Closer and Royal Pains followed . In 2011 she was seen for the first time in a feature film with a small role in The Plan . Other supporting roles followed in 7 Psychos , The Miracle of New York and Deep Powder , before she was seen as Lucy Warburton in the first season of the HBO series The Leftovers in her most famous role to date.

In addition to other guest roles on television, including Marvel's Jessica Jones , This Is Us - This Is Life , Taken - Time Is Your Enemy , House of Cards , Black Mirror and Navy CIS: New Orleans , she also took on major film supporting roles. In 2017 she starred as Denise Watson in the Oscar-winning film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri . Also in the thriller Mother! and in the drama Roman J. Israel, Esq. - She contributed to the truth and nothing but the truth . In 2018 she took on a leading role as Jane Barbour in the series The Purge . A year later she took on a supporting role as Olivia Mason in the final season of Madam Secretary .

She largely shields her private life. It is known that she is married and the mother of three children.
