Emmanuèle Bernheim (born November 30, 1955 in Paris ; † May 10, 2017 there ) was a French writer , screenwriter and Japanologist .

Life

Emmanuèle Bernheim was awarded the Prix ​​Médicis in 1993 for her book Sa femme (German The Other ) . In 2014 she received the “Grand prix des lectrices de Elle” in the “catégorie document” for Tout s'est bien passé .

She wrote the script with him for the film Swimming Pool as well as for other films by François Ozons . She lived in Paris and also worked for television.

She died at the age of 62 in her native Paris of the complications of her lung cancer .
