Emmanuel Faber (born January 22, 1964 in Grenoble ) is a French manager .

Career

Faber spent part of his childhood in Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur . After graduating from high school in Gap in 1980, he graduated from HEC in Paris. He got his first job in 1986 at the management consultancy Bain & Company , but then moved to Barings Bank and from there to Legris Industries. He was appointed CEO of Legris Industries in 1996 .

A year later he started working for the food manufacturer Danone . Together with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus , he initiated the social enterprise Grameen Danone Foods in Bangladesh . Together with Martin Hirsch, he was active in projects for the Emmaus of the late Capuchin Father Abbé Pierre . Since October 2014 he has succeeded Franck Riboud as CEO of Danone.

He is the father of three children.
