The DAV-Haus Obertauern is next to the Neue Prager Hütte and the Klostertaler Umwelthütte the third own Alpine Club hut of the German Alpine Club (does not belong to any section ). history
The house was acquired and rebuilt by the Donauland section of the PES in the early 1960s ; the inauguration took place on December 6, 1969, on the occasion of the DAV's 100th anniversary. In 2017 it underwent extensive modernization work.
