Life
Emmanuel Luc Jean-Marie Delmas was ordained a priest on June 26, 1988 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Angers on June 17, 2008 . The Archbishop of Rennes-Dol-Saint-Malo , Pierre d'Ornellas , ordained him episcopal on September 28 of the same year . Co - consecrators were Jean-Louis Bruguès OP , Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education , and Norbert Turini , Bishop of Cahors . As a motto he chose company spes ut rupes .
