Emmerich Schwemlein

Emmerich Schwemlein (born July 12, 1950 in Baja , Hungary ) is an Austrian vocational school teacher and politician ( SPÖ ). Schwemlein was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1992 to 2002 and a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 2004 to 2009 .

education and profession

Schwemlein attended elementary and secondary school and from 1965 to 1968 the commercial school in Zell am See . Schwemlein graduated from the commercial academy in an evening school and graduated in 1973. In between, Schwemlein did military service from 1971 to 1972. Schwemlein attended the Vocational Education Academy in Innsbruck from 1975 to 1976 and studied political and educational sciences at the University of Salzburg from 1978 to 1982. Schwemlein also graduated from the Vocational Education Academy in Graz .

Schwemlein has been a teacher at the state vocational school for commercial apprenticeships in Zell am See since 1973.

politics

Schwemlein was a local councilor in Bruck an der Großglocknerstrasse from 1984 to 1994 and since 1995 . Schwemlein has been district party chairman of the SPÖ Pinzgau since 1992 and a member of the state party presidium. In addition, Schwemlein has been the district chairman of the Social Democratic Teachers' Association Austria (SLÖ) Zell am See since 1994 .

Schwemlein represented the SPÖ in the National Council between April 1, 1992 and December 19, 2002. In the 2004 state elections, he took fifth place on the state list and has represented the SPÖ since April 28, 2004 as a member of the Salzburg state parliament and area spokesman for tourism. Schwemlein did not stand in the state elections in 2009 for private reasons and left the state parliament on April 22, 2009.
