Endre's cloth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Endres Tucher (born April 5, 1423 in Nuremberg ; † April 14, 1507 ) was a master builder for the city of Nuremberg from 1464 to 1475 and left a very informative master builder book for the cultural history of the German late Middle Ages .

Endres Tucher was the son of Endres Tucher senior and Margaretha Tucher, née Baumgartner. He came from the influential Nuremberg merchant and patrician family Tucher . He wrote his master builder book in the years 1464 to 1470 and then provided it with a few supplements that go back to 1475. The work not only offers a comprehensive insight into the building trade in the late Middle Ages, but also contains a lot of information about the organization and architecture of the city of Nuremberg as well as a lot of information on the cultural history. Tucher’s explanations of the Nuremberg sewage system are, for example, productive.
