Ernst Mummenhoff

Ernst Mummenhoff (born December 22, 1848 in Nordwalde ; † April 25, 1931 ) was a German archive director in Nuremberg and wrote numerous writings on the history and monuments of the city of Nuremberg. Many of his writings appeared in the Mitteilungen des Verein für Geschichte der Stadt Nürnberg (MVGN), which are available online.

In 1928 Mummenhoff was made an honorary citizen of Nuremberg . A street was named after him in his hometown of Nordwalde and in Nuremberg.
