The TeX Users Group ( TUG ) is the international user group of the TeX typesetting system developed by Donald E. Knuth .

history

The group was founded in 1980. It maintains the American CTAN node, publishes the TUGboat magazine, which reports on news about TeX, LaTeX , etc. and is primarily aimed at developers. The online journal The PracTeX Journal is aimed at TeX users.

Annual meeting

An international conference has been held annually since 2007. The proceedings of the conferences appear in TUGboat or as separate publications.
