Engelbert Erwin Jarek (born June 7, 1935 in Rokittnitz , Hindenburg OS , German Reich ; death announced on August 23, 2017 ) was a Polish - German football player .
Life
Jarek was born in 1935 to a German family in the Prussian province of Upper Silesia . He played for Polonia Nysa in 1953 and for Odra Opole from 1954 to 1969 . In 1968 and 1969 he was with Odra Opole as a player- coach, then as a coach until 1975.
On June 29, 1958, he made his debut at 1-1 in Rostock in the game against the GDR in the Polish national team , when he came on in the 71st minute for Roman Lentner . With the Polish soccer team he took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome , but was not used there. In total, he completed three international matches in which he scored one goal.
Jarek and his family moved to Germany in 1977. In the 1990s he worked as a trainer at SG Bad Breisig and later at SC Sinzig .
