Julia Balykina
Julija Uladsimirauna Balykina ( Belarusian Юлія Уладзіміраўна Балыкіна , English transcription Yuliya Balykina; born April 12, 1984 in Bulgan , Mongolia ; † probably on October 28, 2015 in or near Minsk , Belarus ) was a Belarusian sprinter .
Career
In 2009 she was eliminated from the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Turin over 60 m in the preliminary run.
At the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona, she did not get beyond the first round over 100 m and was fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay , and at the 2011 World Athletics Championships in Daegu she failed with the Belarusian 4- times-100-meter relay in advance.
In 2012 she reached the semifinals at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul over 60 m. At the European Championships in Helsinki she reached the semi-finals over 100 m and was seventh with the Belarusian relay. At the Olympic Games in London, she was eliminated both over 100 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.
On June 11, 2013, she tested positive for drostanolone and banned for two years for violating the doping regulations .
Balykina was missing from October 28, 2015. On November 16, 2015, her body was found in a forest near the village of Staryna (Smaljawitschy Raion) in Minskaya Woblasz . A 28-year-old Russian, apparently Balykina's friend, was charged with murder. During interrogation, the accused admitted to having killed Balykina because she wanted to leave him.
