Enrico Job (born January 31, 1934 in Naples , Italy , † March 4, 2008 in Rome ) was an Italian film architect , set designer and costume designer .

Life

Job studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and then devoted himself to painting. In the early 1960s he went to the Piccolo Teatro di Milano , where Job designed the costumes for productions by Giorgio Strehler , Luca Ronconi and Mario Missirolis . In the mid-1960s he was commissioned as a costume designer for film, and since the early 1970s as a film architect. In this regard, Enrico Job was mainly responsible for the productions of his wife, the director Lina Wertmüller .

Job, who died of leukemia in 2008 , was also responsible for the design of the strongly curved, around six meter high crucifix "La croce del papa", which was erected on the occasion of Pope John Paul II's visit to the Rigamonti station in Brescia (1998) had been.
